MOC: Average finished steel price in China down 0.4 percent

China's Ministry of Commerce (MOC) has announced that during last week (March 25-31 2019) the overall average finished steel price in China decreased by 0.4 percent week on week.   

In the given week, average prices of high-speed wire rod, rebar and hot rolled steel strip declined by 0.6 percent, 0.6 percent and 0.3 percent, respectively, week on week.  

In the week in question, the average price of coal in China edged down by 0.2 percent week on week. In particular, the prices of coking coal and thermal coal softened by 0.8 percent and 0.5 percent, respectively, while the price of anthracite coal edged up by 0.9 percent, week on week.

In the same week, the average price of non-ferrous metals in China decreased by 0.3 percent week on week.
