MOC: Average finished steel price in China up 1.0 percent

China's Ministry of Commerce (MOC) has announced that during last week (November 13-19) the overall average finished steel price in China increased by 1.0 percent week on week.

In the given week, average prices of rebar, welded steel pipe, common steel round bar and high-speed wire rod in China respectively increased by 1.5 percent, 1.2 percent, 1.1 percent and 1.1 percent, week on week.

In the same week, the average price of non-ferrous metals in China edged down by 1.6 percent week on week. The average price of nickel (Ni> = 99.2%) decreased by 6.9 percent compared to the previous week.

In the week in question, the average price of coal in China declined by 0.1 percent week on week. In particular, the price of coking coal increased by 0.1 percent, while prices of thermal coal and anthracite coal decreased by 0.2 percent and 0.2 percent, respectively, all compared to the previous week.
