China's Ministry of Commerce (MOC) has announced that during last week (May 14-20) the overall average finished steel price in China increased by 0.3 percent week on week.
In the given week, average prices of hot rolled steel sheet, common medium steel plate, rebar and hot rolled steel strip in China respectively increased by 0.6 percent, 0.5 percent, 0.4 percent and 0.4 percent, week on week.
In the same week, the average price of non-ferrous metals in China edged up by 0.5 percent week on week. The average price of nickel (Ni> = 99.2%) increased by 3.2 percent compared to the previous week.
In the week in question, the average price of coal in China increased by 0.1 percent week on week. In particular, the price of thermal coal edged up by 0.2 percent, the price of coking coal decreased by 0.1 percent, while the price of anthracite coal remained stable, respectively, all week on week.
