MMZ to resume production on August 20

Moldavian Metallurgical Works (MMZ), a steelmaker based in the Transnistrian region of Moldova, has announced that it plans to restart production on Monday, August 20. MMZ had stopped production of crude steel on August 7 due to problems with scrap deliveries, while rolling mill was stopped on August 10. Meanwhile, the company plans to achieve its scheduled output, aiming to produce around 26,000 mt of rolled steel in August, including more than 20,000 mt of rebar.
