MMK shipments to Belarus may rise by 20 percent in 2008

Shipments of steel products from Russian steelmaker Magnitogorsk Iron and Steel Works (MMK) to Belarus may increase by as much as 20 percent during the current year, according to Aleksei Koptzev, head of MMK's production range planning for its current market project.

Mr. Koptzev went on to add that this possible increase of 20 percent shows a favorable perspective for cooperation between Belarus's consumers and the Russian steel giant.
