MMK issues Jan 2007 production results

In January 2007, the Russian steelmaker Magnitogorsk Iron and Steel Works (MMK) saw a 13.9 percent increase in its crude steel production and a 13.1 percent increase in its finished steel products output year on year. The respective figures in metric tons were 1.1 million and 1.08 million. In addition, during the given period MMK produced 877,700 metric tons of agglomerate, 455,300 metric tons of coke and 816,000 metric tons of pig iron. In January 2007, MMK exported 45.8 percent of its products.
