Mittal Steel Temirtau issues 2006 results

In 2006, the world's largest steelmaker Mittal Steel's Kazakhstan-based subsidiary, Mittal Steel Temirtau, decreased its crude steel production by 10.5 percent and its finished steel products output by 6.8 percent year on year. The respective figures in metric tons stood at 3.7 million and 3.2 million. On the other hand, the company increased its coal mining output by three percent to 11.5 million metric tons during the same period. In 2007, Mittal Steel Temirtau is expecting its crude steel production to reach 4.4 million metric tons, its finished steel products output to increase to 3.9 million metric tons and its coal mining output to rise to 13 million metric tons.
