Mittal Steel Krivoy Rog's output decreases in Q1

Mittal Steel Krivoy Rog's finished steel products output decreased 1.1 percent year on year to 1.54 million tons in the first quarter of 2006. For the given period crude steel production decreased 2 percent to 1.695 million tons, pig iron production decreased 1 percent to 1.54 million ton, coke production decreased 1.2 percent to 665,000 tons, and iron ore concentrate production decreased 1.9 percent to 1.690 million tons. On the other hand, production of agglomerate and iron ore mining increased 0.7 and 13.2 percent to 2.62 million tons and 473,000 tons respectively year on year in the first quarter of 2006. In March, the enterprise produced 590,000 tons of finished steel products, 602,000 tons of crude steel, 579,000 tons of iron ore, 956,000 tons of agglomerate, 243,000 tons of coke, 593,000 tons of iron ore concentrate and mined 163,000 of iron ore.
