Mittal Steel completes merger of US operations

Mittal Steel Company N.V, the world largest steel producer, announced completion of the merger of its US subsidiaries Mittal Steel USA ISG Inc and Ispat Inland Inc. In line with the statement released by the steel giant, Ispat Inland was merged with and into Mittal Steel USA ISG effective December 31, 2005, with the latter being the surviving corporation of the merger. With the completion of the merger, Mittal Steel USA ISG was renamed Mittal Steel USA Inc. As previously reported by SteelOrbis, Mittal Steel acquired International Steel Group (ISG) on April 15, 2005.
