Mining investments in Peru increase 23.3 percent in January-September

Mining investments in Peru in the January-September period increased 23.3 percent, year-on-year, to $4 billion, according to local ministry of mines and energy, Minem.

Minem said the $6 billion figure accounts for 67.8 percent the ministry’s goal for mining investments in Peru by private companies for 2019.

The Peruvian ministry said the areas that received the most funding are: plant beneficiation, development and preparation, mining equipment and exploration.
