Mexico’s industrial production declines in September

Mexico’s industrial output in September fell 1 percent, year-on-year, and 0.4 percent, month-on-month, according to data released by the nation’s statistics agency (Inegi).

Inegi said industrial production in the mining segment in September dropped 15.1 percent, year-on-year, and 6.2 percent, month-on-month.

Industrial output at the civil construction segment in September was stable, with zero growth on a year-on-year basis, but rose 0.8 percent, in the month-on-month comparison.

Industrial output at the local manufacturing sector improved 3.4 percent in September, year-on-year, but dropped 0.1 percent, month-on-month.
