Mexican steelmaker Deacero has teamed up with Fisterra Energy, from the Blackstone group, to develop an energy plant known as Energia de Celaya. The plant will supply electricity to Deacero for a 20-year timeline.

The two companies said the project, located in the city of Cortazar, in Guanajuato state, will produce about 350 megawatts (MW) of electricity.

Construction works for the plant will begin in 2019. Energia de Celaya should start up by 2022, the two companies estimated.
