Mexico’s economy secretariat, SE, has opened a public consultation for three steel norms, it said on Thursday. The consultations are opened for 60 days.

SE said PROY-NMX-B-325-CANACERO-2019, which sets the chemical composition of alloyed steel, will replace the NMX-B-325-CANACERO-2006 norm.

SE said the PROY-NMX-B-523-CANACERO-2019 regulation will set the requisites for measuring the thickness of metal and nonmetal materials through ultrasound direct contact.

Additionally, the PROY-NMX-B-525-CANACERO-2019 regulation will establish the norms and probe methods for steel displays made out of smooth wire.
