Mexico imposes AD duty on Chinese galvanized wire mesh imports

The Mexican Ministry of Economy has announced its final decision regarding the antidumping (AD) duty investigation on galvanized wire mesh imports from China, determining a definitive antidumping duty rate of $2.08/kg.
 
The Ministry of Economy found that galvanized wire mesh imports from China was sold at prices 34-51 percent cheaper than domestic market prices between October 1, 2009 and September 30, 2012. The antidumping duty investigation was launched in February 2013 upon the application filed by domestic steelmaker Deacero.
 
The product subject to the antidumping duty rate currently falls under Customs Tariff Statistics Position Numbers 7314.19.02, 7314.19.03 and 7314.31.01.
