Mexico applies AD duties on HRC imports from China, France and Germany

Mexico’s economy secretariat, SE, has applied definitive countervailing duties on HRC imports from China, France and Germany, after concluding a probe into the imports of the product, which was requested by AHMSA and Ternium Mexico.

SE said HRC imports from ArcelorMittal in Bremen, Germany, should pay a $137/mt tariff, while orders from other German producers should be entitled to a $166.01/mt duty.

Imports of the flat product from Tangshan in China will pay a $335.60/mt aliquot, while imports from other Chinese producers will pay a $354.92/mt tariff.

Imports of HRC coming from ArcelorMittal Mediterranée in France will pay a $67.54/mt levy, while orders from other French producers will be taxed at $75.59/mt.
