US DOC files final AD review results for stainless steel sheet and strip coils from Mexico and Japan

On February 10, the US Department of Commerce (DOC) announced the final results of its antidumping duty (AD) administrative reviews for stainless steel sheet and strip coils from Mexico and Japan, making changes in the margins calculated in the preliminary rulings for both countries.

The DOC came to the conclusion that for respondents based in Japan, Hitachi Cable Ltd. and Nippon Kinzoku Company Ltd, AD margins of zero and 0.58 percent respectively should be imposed. For Japan's Nippon Kinzoku Co, the preliminary dumping margin was 0.23 percent.

The DOC said that for the respondent based in Mexico, ThyssenKrupp Mexinox S.A. de C.V., an AD margin of 4.48 percent should be imposed. The dumping margin for the company was 13.3 percent in the preliminary ruling.

The period of review was July 1, 2007, through June 30, 2008 and the preliminary results of the reviews were issued on Tuesday, August 7, 2009 for both countries.
