A Mexican steel trader was banned from signing any government contracts for the next three months, according to a notice at the nation’s official gazette, Diario Oficial Federal.

Mexican steel trader DRM Aceros Internacional did not pay fines it owed the local government. As a result, it is not allowed to sign any contract or provide any service to Mexico.

DRM Aceros Internacional might, however, continue existing contracts, as they are not subject to the government decision. The Mexican government said the decision will be canceled after the three-month period.
