Mexican iron pellet production drops 12.6 percent in October

Mexican iron pellet output in October decreased 12.6 percent, year-over-year, to 496,965 mt, according to a report from statistics agency Inegi. On a monthly basis, iron pellet production rose 2 percent from 487,165 mt in September.

According to government data, Mexican iron pellet in the accumulated period of January to October declined 16.4 percent, year-over-year.

The mining and metals production index in October grew 6.6 percent, month-over-month, and 9.4 percent, year-over-year.
