Mexican iron pellet production declines in January

Mexican iron pellet production in January decreased 15.4 percent, year-on-year, to 546,419 mt, statistics agency Inegi said this week.

According to Inegi, Mexican iron pellet production in the first month of the year declined 1.94 percent, month-on-month, from 557,285 mt in December.

Inegi said the local mining and metals production index in January fell 0.4 percent, month-on-month, but rose 0.2 percent, year-on-year.
