Mexican iron pellet production declines 8.7 percent in February

Mexican iron pellet output in March decreased 8.7 percent, year-on-year, to 541,905 mt, statistics agency Inegi said on Thursday.

According to government data, Mexican iron pellet production March fell 0.8 percent, month-on-month, from 546,419 mt in January this year.

Inegi said iron pellet production in the accumulated period of January to February dropped 12.2 percent, year-on-year.

Inegi said the Mexican mining and metals production index in February rose 0.4 percent, month-on-month, and 2.3 percent, year-on-year.
