Mexican iron pellet production declines 7.3 percent in December

Mexican iron pellet output in December declined 7.3 percent, year-on-year, to 557,285 mt, according to local statistics agency, Inegi. However, iron pellet output in December slightly rose 3 percent, month-on-month, from 540,884 mt in November.

Mexican iron pellet production in the full-year of 2019 fell 0.5 percent, year-on-year.

Inegi said the local mining and metals production index in December grew 0.6 percent, month-on-month, but dropped 0.3 percent, year-on-year.
