Mexican iron pellet output increases 2.9 percent in October

Mexican iron pellet output in October rose 2.9 percent, year-on-year, the country’s statistics agency (Inegi) said on Friday. Iron pellet production in October declined 1.6 percent, month-on-month, from 548,566 mt in September this year.

As for the accumulated period of January to October, Mexican iron pellet production in fell 1.1 percent, year-on-year.

Inegi said the local mining and metals production index in October grew 3.2 percent, month-on-month, and 1.1 percent, year-on-year.
