Mexican iron pellet output down in September

Mexican iron pellet production in September declined 3.1 percent, year-on-year, according to data released on Thursday by the country’s statistics agency, Inegi.

Inegi said iron pellet output dropped 3.4 percent in September on a month-on-month basis.

According to government data, Mexican iron pellet production for the accumulated period of January to September rose 1.8 percent, year-on-year.

The country’s mining and metals production index in September diminished 0.3 percent, month-on-month, and 0.9 percent, year-on-year.
