Mexican industrial production 1.2 percent up in July

Mexican industrial output in July rose 1.2 percent, year-on-year, the nation’s statistics agency, Inegi, said on Monday.

According to government data, industrial production in the local mining segment in July dropped 7.1 percent, year-on-year. On the other hand, industrial output in the civil construction and manufacturing industry sectors in July increased 4 and 2 percent, year-on-year, respectively.

Inegi said industrial production in the mining sector in July declined 1.1 percent, month-on-month. Production in the local civil construction sector in July grew 1.4 percent, month-on-month. The local manufacturing industry sector saw industrial production in July remain stagnant on a month-on-month basis, with zero growth.
