Mexican industrial output up in December

Mexican industrial production in the last month of the year slightly rose 0.1 percent, year-on-year, according to data released by the country’s statistics agency (Inegi).

Industrial output at the nation’s mining sector dropped 7.6 percent in December, year-on-year. On the other hand, industrial production for Mexico’s civil construction and manufacturing industry segments improved 3.1 and 1.2 percent in December, year-on-year.

As for the month-on-month analysis, industrial output in the local mining sector fell 0.5 percent in December when compared to November. Industrial production in the civil construction in December increased 3.7 percent, month-on-month. Likewise, industrial production in the local manufacturing industry sector improved 0.1 percent in December, month-on-month.
