Mexican industrial output declines in December

Mexican industrial production in December decreased 1 percent, year-on-year, and 0.3 percent, month-on-month, local statistics agency Inegi said this week.

Industrial output at the local mining segment in December rose 0.5 percent, year-on-year. On the other hand, industrial output at the local civil construction and manufacturing industry sectors in December diminished 4.9 percent, and 0.7 percent, respectively, both on a year-on-year basis.

On a monthly basis, industrial production at the mining sector in December fell 0.9 percent, month-on-month, while industrial output at the Mexican civil construction and manufacturing sectors in December rose 0.6 percent and 0.5 percent, respectively, month-on-month.
