Mexican economic activity increases in October

Mexican economic activity in October rose 2.1 percent, year-on-year, the nation’s statistics agency, Inegi said.

According to Inegi, primary activities in October dropped 2.6 percent, year-on-year.

On the other hand, secondary and tertiary activities in October grew 0.1 and 3.2 percent, year-on-year, respectively, the statistics agency said.

Government data indicated local economic activity in October decreased 0.3 percent, month-on-month.

Following the same downtrend, primary and secondary activities in October declined 2.9 and 1.6 percent, month-on-month, respectively.

Tertiary activities in October improved 0.2 percent, month-on-month.
