Ukrainian mining and steel producing group Metinvest has announced that it has established a representative sales office in Spain called Metinvest Iberica S.L. This office will be focused on strengthening cooperation with customers for Metinvest's steel products in Spain and Portugal and on providing quick and efficient service to them.
The Iberian Peninsula is a key steel consuming region in Europe. Spain is the fourth largest market for flat and long steel products in the EU-28 after Germany, Italy and France.
Metinvest stated that its new representative office will provide for the further development of cooperation with Spanish and Portuguese clients in the construction, machine building, and pipe production sectors. Customers will now have a unified channel for working with Metinvest and they will be able to place "package" orders for various types of metallurgical products.
In Europe, Metinvest Group has representative offices and/or warehouses in the Balkans, Baltic region, Belgium, Bulgaria, Germany, Italy, Romania, Switzerland and the United Kingdom. Metinvest has representative offices in a total of 21 countries and more than 6,500 customers, including 1,700 in Europe.
Metinvest Group's metallurgical plants are located in both Ukraine and Europe. In Europe, Promet Steel has an annual output capacity of 500,000 mt of steel products in Bulgaria, Metinvest Trametal and Ferriera Valsider have a total capacity of 1.2 million mt in Italy, and Spartan UK has an annual capacity of 200,000 mt in the U.K.
