Metalloinvest and OMK ink long-term contract for steel billet supply

Russia-based leading global iron ore and hot briquetted iron (HBI) producer Metalloinvest has announced that it has signed a long-term contract with Russian pipe producing company United Metallurgical Company (OMK) for the supply of steel billets for production of railway wheels. 
 
According to the agreement, round cast billets with a diameter of 455 mm will be produced at Metalloinvest’s integrated iron and steel plant Ural Steel and will be delivered to OMK’s subsidiary Vyksa Steel Works. The contract lasts until the end of 2027.
