Anhui Province-based Chinese steelmaker Maanshan Iron and Steel (Masteel) has announced that it has received large orders for steel sheet for application in the manufacture of household appliances. In May, Taiwanese enterprises Foxconn and Liteon-Liteon expanded their cooperation with Masteel, increasing their orders for fingerprint-resistant galvanized steel sheet from the Chinese steel producer to 11,000 mt. Their combined monthly order volume from Masteel in each of the first four months this year did not exceed 6,000 mt.

In April last year, Masteel had signed a contract with Foxconn and Lite-on for monthly supply of 4,000 mt of the given products. In September last year, the monthly supply volume in question totaled about 6,000 mt.
