Anhui-Province based Maanshan Steel (Masteel) in recent days shipped a total of 6,000 mt of hot rolled ribbed debar to the UK, including four different product diameters. With Masteel having received the necessary certificates in early 2007 from the UK Certification Authority for Reinforcing Steels (CARES), this product batch constitutes the first export order for CARES-standard products which Masteel has shipped to the UK market.
This consignment of hot rolled ribbed debar was of steel grade B500B with diameter diameters of 16 mm, 20 mm, 25 mm and 32 mm. Through the use of advanced technology, the yield strength of the products is now up to 500 Mpa - 40 Mpa higher than other domestic products of the same category.
