UK-based London Mining has announced that it has rescheduled the first iron ore shipment from its Marampa operations in Sierra Leone, which started production earlier this month. The first shipment is now expected in January.

The shipment date has been rescheduled to increase the margins by using larger supramax sized vessels, instead of handymax sized vessels, without paying any additional freight cost.

London Mining also stated that it might sell the concentrate from its Marampa iron ore project into Europe because of its consistent high quality.
