Laiwu Steel produces manganese-added cold rolled sheet

Shandong Province-based Chinese steelmaker Laiwu Iron and Steel Corporation (Laiwu Steel) has announced that it has produced 31.21 mt of manganese-added cold rolled sheet in specifications of 2.0 mm, 1.5 mm and 1.2 mm at its cold rolled steel product line, thereby enlarging its product range. The composition of the cold rolled sheets in question includes; 0.62-0.70 percent C, 0.90-1.20 percent Mn, 0.17-0.37 percent Si, ≤0.035 percent S, and ≤0.035 percent P.
 
This cold rolled sheet is of high strength and hardness, and is usually used in the automobile, electronic and transportation industries.
 
Meanwhile, Laiwu Steel has also announced that in August this year its shipbuilding steel plate output totaled 8,000 mt. All 100 percent of the products produced reached the required standard. In addition, in August Laiwu Steel's cost of producing shipbuilding steel plate was down RMB 30/mt ($4.7/mt) month on month
