In the January-August period of the current year, Kazakhstan produced 2.616 million mt of crude steel, up 20 percent year on year, according to the State Statistics Committee of Kazakhstan.
Production of flat steel in Kazakhstan in the January-August period this year increased by 17.6 percent year on year to 1.684 million mt, while in the same period Kazakhstan saw its ferroalloy production rise by 0.4 percent year on year to 1.122 million mt.
