JSW’s crude steel output down five percent in Q3 FY 2019-2020

JSW Steel, one of the largest Indian steelmakers, produced 4.02 million mt of crude steel in the third quarter ended December 31 of the financial year 2019-20, decreasing by five percent compared to 4.23 million mt recorded in the same quarter of 2019 and up five percent from 3.84 million mt recorded in the previous quarter.

In addition, during the same period the company produced 2.86 million mt of flat rolled products, decreasing by one percent year, while it produced 890,000 mt of long rolled products, down by 14 percent, both year on year.

In the first nine months of the financial year 2019-2020, the company’s crude steel production totaled 12.09 million mt, falling by three percent, while its flat steel production dame to 8.48 million mt, decreasing by three percent and its long steel production amounted to 2.76 million mt, down by four percent, all year on year.
