JSW Steel’s crude steel output rises by 10 percent in June quarter

JSW Steel, one of the largest Indian steelmakers, produced 3.40 million mt of crude steel in the first quarter ending June 30 of the financial year 2015-16, showing a growth of 10 percent year on year.

According to the company's statement, in the first quarter JSW Steel produced 2.50 million mt of flat rolled products, increasing by three percent, while its long rolled product output totaled 690,000 mt, up 32 percent, both on year-on-year basis.

JSW Steel also stated that the continuous annealing line at its Vijayanagar plant has commenced commercial production.
