JSW Steel sees six percent growth in crude steel output in Apr-Dec

JSW Steel, one of the largest Indian steelmakers, produced 3.17 million mt of crude steel in the October-December quarter of the financial year 2014-15, almost unchanged compared to the same period of the previous financial year.
 
According to the company's statement, in the third quarter JSW Steel produced 2.56 million mt of flat rolled products, falling one percent compared to the same quarter of the previous financial year, while its long rolled product output amounted to 500,000 mt, increasing by 14 percent year on year.
 
In the first nine months of the current financial year, JSW Steel's crude steel production amounted to 9.57 million mt, increasing by six percent year on year.
