JSW restarts blast furnaces, posts lower output for November

JSW Steel, one of the largest Indian steelmakers, has announced that it produced 1.29 million mt of crude steel in November this year, decreasing by seven percent compared to 1.39 million mt recorded in November 2018 and down three percent compared to October of the current year.

In addition, during the given month the company produced 909,000 mt of flat rolled products, decreasing by one percent, while it produced 299,000 mt of long rolled products, down by 14 percent, both year on year.

The company said that the blast furnaces which were temporarily shut down in October due to slowdown in auto demand recommenced operations in the last week of November.
