According to the data released by the Japan Ship Exporters' Association (JSEA), Japanese new ship export orders in July this year increased by 8.9 percent on tonnage basis compared to the previous month, remaining stable at 18 ships, compared to June, totaling 583,920 gross tons, including 14 bulk carriers and four tankers.
In the first seven months of this year, Japanese shipbuilders received new export orders for a total of 116 ships with an aggregate of 5.02 million gross tons, down 9.4 percent year on year.
On the other hand, in July this year Japan delivered 11 ships for export, totaling 364,287 gross tons, compared to 18 ships totaling 1,18 million gross tons recorded in June.
Meanwhile, in the January-July period of the current year, Japan delivered 121 ships for export, totaling 6.01 million gross tons, falling by 23.8 percent year on year.
