According to the Italian steel producers' association Federacciai, in the first quarter of the current year Italy's steel imports amounted to 3.54 million metric tons, decreasing by 29 percent, while its steel exports totaled 4.808 million metric tons, up 9.6 percent, both compared to the same period of the previous year.
