Istil to build new plant in UAE

The Ukrainian long product producer Istil has announced that it will build a new steel plant in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). The new plant with a total capacity of 500,000 mt a year is planned to be completed in 2008. The plant will specialize in the production of rebar and wire rod from square billets supplied by Istil's mill in Ukraine.
