The Indonesian Antidumping Committee is preparing to initiate an antidumping (AD) investigation against steel plate from China, Singapore and Ukraine. The investigation will cover the period from October 1, 2008 to September 30, 2009.

Indonesian steelmakers PT Gunung Raja Paksi and PT Gunawan Dianjaya made an appeal for an investigation in February this year. The tariff item numbers of the products in question are 7208.5100 and 7208.5200. Indonesia proposes a dumping margin of 6.88-68.63 percent. During the period covered by the planned investigation, China exported 33,000 mt of plate to Indonesia.
