Indonesia initiates safeguard investigation for certain section imports

Indonesia launched a safeguard investigation regarding imports of I-beam with height or width of 100 mm up to 600 mm and H-sections with height of 100 mm up to 350 mm, of alloyed steel, according to a statement issued by the World Trade Organization (WTO). The application was filed by local Indonesian steel producer PT. Gunung Garuda.
 
The products subject to the safeguard investigation fall under the HS codes 7228.70.10.00 and 7228.70.90.00.
