India starts anti-circumvention probe on CR stainless flats imports

The government of India has announced that it has initiated an anti-circumvention investigation regarding imports of cold rolled (CR) flat products of stainless steel from China, South Korea, the European Union (EU), South Africa, Taiwan, Thailand and the US.
 
The investigation was launched upon the application lodged by domestic producer Jindal Stainless Ltd alleging that the existing antidumping measures are being circumvented.
 
The products in question currently fall under the Customs Tariff Statistics Position Numbers 7219.31, 7219.32, 7219.33, 7219.34, 7219.35 and 7219.90.
