India extends CVD probe on HR/CR stainless flats imports from China

India's Ministry of Commerce and Industry has announced that it has extended the deadline for the completion of and notification of the final findings of its ongoing countervailing duty (CVD) investigation concerning imports of hot rolled (HR) and cold rolled (CR) stainless steel flat products from China to July 11.

The investigation was launched on April 12, 2016, upon the complaint lodged by Indian stainless steel producer Jindal Stainless Limited. The investigation covers the period from January 2015 to December 2015. 

The products subject to countervailing duty (CVD) investigation currently fall under Customs Tariff Statistics Position Numbers 7219 and 7220.
