India imposes final countervailing duty on HR/CR stainless flats imports from China

India's Ministry of Finance has announced that it has imposed final countervailing duty (CVD) against imports of certain hot rolled and cold rolled stainless steel flat products from China.

Accordingly, the ministry imposed a final countervailing duty of 18.95 percent for a period of five years for the mentioned products imported from China.

The investigation was launched on April 12, 2016, upon the complaint lodged by Indian stainless steel producer Jindal Stainless Limited.

The products subject to countervailing duty (CVD) currently fall under Customs Tariff Statistics Position Numbers 7219 and 7220.
