Ilyich to challenge CITT decision

Monday, 24 April 2006 09:38:59 (GMT+3)   |
Ukrainian steelmaker Ilyich is to provide the Canadian International Trade Tribunal (CITT) with the information refuting the Canadian Border Services Agency (CBSA) conclusion on the possible damages if import duty on HR sheet from Ukraine is cancelled. Ilyich claims that the prepared document, which states all necessary information regarding the enterprise's shipment volumes and prices for both domestic and export markets, can influence the CITT decision and lead to cancellation of import duty on Ukrainian HR sheet. Currently the duty level on Ukraine HR sheet and coils is set at 62.9 percent level. Public hearing of the case is to be held on July 19, 2006 and the decision on the issue to be taken on August 16, 2006.
