Ilyich, one of the largest rolled steel plant in Ukraine, threatens to strike if the government would not proceed the VAT reimbursement. During this week, Ilyich sent a telegram to Viktor Yuschenko, Ukrainian President, asking to intervene personally in solving this problem. Vladimir Boiko, representative of the enterprise's board of director, said that the government's debt on VAT reimbursement during the last five months rose one and a half times to more than UAH 460 million (approximately $ 90 million).
