Hunan Province to reduce number of coal mining companies to below 180

The government of the Chinese province of Hunan has announced that it plans to reduce the number of coal mining enterprises in the province to below 180 within three years, with 80 percent of these enterprises to have annual production capacities of over 300,000 mt.

In addition, the Hunan authorities also plan to cultivate a number of coal mining companies with annual output capacities of one million mt.
