Handan Iron and Steel Group (Hansteel), a subsidiary of Chinese steelmaking giant Hebei Iron and Steel Group, has announced that in the January-August period of the current year it has established new direct supply relationships for its cold rolled products with 37 domestic companies, including Great Wall Motor Co. and Samsung Electronic Group.
In the first eight months of the current year, Hansteel produced 300,000 mt of cold rolled products, increasing by 40,000 mt as compared to the same period last year.
Meanwhile, with its increased research and development focused on new products, since May this year Hansteel has succeeded in developing production of DX56D extra-deep drawing cold rolled steel, SPCC-J1 sheet for electrical appliances, and G550 high-strength galvanized sheet.
